What is it?

Riding for Rhinos is delighted to announce the return of our event on the 5th October 2024,  that will raise much-needed funds for our beloved and endangered rhino population that the Save Valley Conservancy works so hard to protect. What began as a casual bet between friends has grown into what promises to be a fun-filled, entertaining and prestigious day at the horse jumping show grounds at the HIPEC Arena at the Borrowdale Club. 

We have convinced 8 general members of our society with little to no horse skills, and certainly no show jumping capabilities, to compete in a Pro–Amateur Show Jumping Competition. The amateurs started training in February 2024 in order to compete sufficiently in the event. We are aiming to jump a full circuit of 10 jumps set at 60 – 90cm. The amateurs have been paired off with professional riders and compete as teams (one pro and one am) and will be auctioned off on the day in order to make it a more exciting competition. 

The Pro–Am event will then commence, followed by prize giving.

After prize giving we will have a “Show Off” display of show jumping by the professionals on a trickier ring setup. The day will conclude with live music and sundowners with a DJ who will entertain into the night. 

Kids under 16 will have free admission and will be entertained by Kingdom Inflatables. 

All proceeds will be donated to The Save Valley Conservancy where we hope to upgrade their fleet of anti-poaching vehicles.

Tickets

PICNIC TICKET: $20 P/PERSON

Picnic seating is on the side line lawns or on the benches. Folding chairs and blankets are welcome. There is a cash bar, and food venders in the designated area. Please note – no cooler boxes permitted

VIP TICKET: $160 P/PERSON

Your VIP ticket includes VIP parking, lunch and night time snacks, free bar until 7pm (cash bar from 7pm til late) and VIP bathrooms 

CORPORATE TENT: $5000

This corporate sponsorship package will provide you with a private box to entertain 30 of your customers and guests. The box will include a full private bar and private catering for your guests to enjoy, 2 x 2m x 600mm branded boards in front of your box, all hiring, VIP parking and VIP toilets.

THE DRESSAGE KING: $8000

• Branding of the stage and surrounding area 
• Backdrop of the stage 
• Social media marketing for the event for a duration of 3 months on the riding for rhinos platforms and the DJS platforms 
• 6 VIP tickets granting access to the VIP area which includes food and drinks for the day, VIP parking, and VIP toilets

THE STALLION: $15000

• Title of the event ie: “The J&B Pro-Am Riding for Rhinos” 
• Branding of the Ticket gate

• Exclusisvity for certain product lines (should it be required) for the event 
• Branding of drinks tickets 
• Branding on all social media platforms and marketing merchandise
